Manual Nipple Stimulation - am I doing it right?
I am a newcomer to the adult nursing concept. I have wanted to do this since i was a teenager but worried there was something wrong with me until now. Thank you Milk and Honey...I am reborn and thanks to several tragedies in my life; sometimes it takes these to propel us further into the unknown about ourselves and others, I am embarking on nursing to please myself. I have a boyfriend that I am very close to and could only reveal this to him which I did yesterday. He is extremely excited but I am not sure he fully understands the commitment, technique etc but is reading on your website as well. He is unavailable to me full time so I know that this is my decision alone and must make sure that I want this completely. I have two issues, though, and maybe someone can help me.
1. I had one baby when I was 41 (did I mention I am now 59?) and when the milk came in, we could not get her to latch properly. My inlaws lived with us at the time and were all over my case that she was not getting enough of anything; coupled with my nipple soreness and complete inexperience and lack of emotional support from my husband, I shut down the whole thing. A felt a complete failure for something I wanted to do my whole life. So now I want to do this right and succeed which brings me to this site and any encouragement would be appreciated.
2. I cannot find anywhere, any video or specific instructions on how to stimulate my nipples. Right now I breast massage with both hands for 15 minutes with alternating nipple stimulation done by squeezing them between my thumb and index finger but the hand is in the form of a fist. I want to do this right and I would appreciate anyone who could give guidance here.
I am so excited to bring this part of me back to life and look forward to nursing an adult male everyday until I no longer walk this earth.
The Secret has helped me embrace who I am and I have a lot of catching up to do to discover my new self. I love the posts on this message forum.
My boyfriend is coming here today and I am hoping to get started on two nursing sessions with him. I am reading about how the mouth needs to placed on the breast and want him to do it right without being too controlling. Any advice from you experts would help.
Have a great day.

Here are links from the LMH website. When you have time, surf all of Shani's site. She has done the best job at gathering info!!
I recommend massage oil or creme. It helps your hands glide across your skin & keeps your nipples from cracking.

Thanks for the response, the first link does not work but the second two were very helpful.
I am using the "manexpression" link to correctly express and the "sorenipple" to understand how the partner has to latch on.
Thanks so much

I'm a complete newbie to all this, but I read that something called the "marmet technique" is the recommended manual method for inducing lactation. I googled but found the explanation confusing. Thankfully, I found this video:
marmet technique
I hope this helps you

Re: Manual Nipple Stimulation - am I doing it right?
Summer, the technique does work, in my opinion, if you are able to lactate and most women can. The problem is really to establish a good flow, specially without a partner.

Re: The correct use of marmots.
I feel I should step in here and correct a misunderstanding.
The Marmet Technique is an effective, well-designed method of stimulating lactation that many people have had success with.
Marmots, however, are small, weasel-like creatures that run around in the desert. While they are vegetarian and amiable little animals, and will often allow you to rub them on your breast, their use as an aid to stimulate lactation has never been shown to be effective, and will certainly only lead to frustration on your part.
